Bettie Williams-Watson Recognized for 30+ Years of Advocacy

Bettie Williams-Watson will be honored with the 2018 Ginny NiCarthy Award for Excellence in Advocacy on January 11th from the King County Coalition Ending Gender-Based Violence for her 33 plus years of working to address and end domestic and sexual violence in predominantly African American faith communities.

Bettie Williams-Watson will be honored with the 2018 Ginny NiCarthy Award for Excellence in Advocacy on January 11th from the King  County Coalition Ending Gender-Based Violence for her 33 plus years of working to address and end domestic and sexual violence in predominantly African American faith communities.

Bettie is a long-time friend and colleague of FaithTrust Institute, and was featured in our ground-breaking film Broken Vows: Religious Perspectives on Domestic Violence (also available as streaming video).

Bettie Williams-Watson is the Founder/Executive Director of Multi-Communities(M.I.C.), a nonprofit organization dedicated to addressing domestic, youth, and sexual violence, as well as chemical dependency, in predominantly African American faith communities throughout the Greater Seattle area and beyond.
