In light of several recent, heinous incidents of violence against young women, specifically the Steubenville gang rape and the attack in New Delhi, among many others, advocates have reached out to the National Resource Center on Domestic Violence (NRCDV) staff about being saddened and discouraged after reading through the details of these inhumane acts of violence against young women.
To help offer a way for advocates to recharge and re-engage, the NRCDV brings to you the voices of 4 powerful women who are deficated to ending violence against women and girls and who have been working in the movement for decades:
- Anne Menard, Executive DIrector of the National Resource Center on Domestic Violence
- Chic Dabby, Director of the Asian Pacific Islander Institute on Domestic Violence
- Patti Tototzintle, Chief Executive Officer of Casa de Esperanza
- Umi, Project Director for the Institute on Domestic Violence in the African-American Community
