April - Child Abuse Prevention Month
April is National Child Abuse Prevention Month, a time to recognize that we each play a part in promoting the social and emotional well-being of children and families in communities.
A report of child abuse is made every ten seconds. (Source: Childhelp)
Child abuse occurs at every socio-economic level, across ethnic and cultural lines, within all religions and at all levels of education. Approximately 30% of abused and neglected children will later abuse their own children, continuing the horrible cycle of abuse. (Source: Childhelp) Break the Cycle - Get educated - Take Action!
